Eric Ford
(b. 1992) is a native of Ohio. He graduated in May of 2019 from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a Master of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in sculpture. Before this, he attended The University of Akron, from which he graduated with his BFA in 2016. His recent works have existed in very ephemeral ways, considering their materiality; made predominantly of EPS foam and other insulative materials. Conceptually and physically, my work deals with interiority and outward presentation. Tones of security, desire, anxiety, protection, acceptance, and ineptitude emerge from form and color. Narrative emerges from the crumb trail left by my visually minimal sculpture paired with the intermittent dropping of clues provided by poetic titling.
